Hey, I'm Hugo.

Creator and writer of the Usefully Inspired newsletter

Or something like that :)

Still figuring it out...

Before you go...

This started as just one of my experiments. I honestly felt lost in the direction of my life and tried a lot of new things. Writing on the internet was just one of them, but perhaps the most important. Through writing I've managed to find a new meaning in my day to day, the newsletter acting as motivation for me to learn more.

My first few Newsletters weren't very good, but you need to start somewhere. Through iteration I do better each and every time I sit down to write.

From this page spawned an Instagram account, a Twitter account and eventually a Youtube channel. All of which I'm passionate about pursuing. But it all started with me writing into the void on this page. Sometimes even the smallest changes can have consequences much larger than one can imagine.

All it takes is to start. Take one step.

On this page, I document my thoughts, learnings and lifestyle.

I now write my newsletter for people like me. For those who may feel lost or overwhelmed because they want something different. For those who want to live a life worth living and get better every day.

If that sounds like you, feel free to subscribe the newsletter. Hope it helps you in some way.

I wish you the best of luck on your own journey, and remember:

Sometimes it's good to just throw your bag over the fence,

because then you have to go and get it.

(Some of) My Life

Football (Soccer)

I played football from 5 years old until 2022. It'll always have a place in my heart. Thanks to my Dad, our whole family supports Liverpool FC. YNWA

Health & Fitness

I was trained to like working out when I was little. It was a combination of sports and running with my Dad. I started going to the gym at 13, mostly just to supplement the football. My interest grew and I learned more about different training protocols and how to eat right. Now I train in my own way, graduating from just trying to build muscle to something more varied.

Running (and more)

In 2023 me and some friends challenged ourselves to complete the Swedish "Klassikern" consisting of 4 separate competitions: 315km Cycle, 3km Swim, 30km Trail-Run & 90km Cross Country Ski. By far one of the toughest physical challenges I've completed (yet), the cycling in particular.

Reading and School

I've always loved reading, and still do. And I've always been good in school, not that I didn't work for it. Studying was a structured way of learning how to focus on a task and work hard. Eventually, however, I realised that school may not have all the answers I wanted, and perhaps wasn't the path I wanted to take. Most entrepreneurs and people who choose a different path seem to say differently, but despite my current projects and life path, I've always rather enjoyed school and learning.
